“Under the supervision of an elite group of distinguished coaches, my sports journey began under Tunisian coach Al-Hadi Qaria, Saudi coach Faisal Qiri (may Allah have mercy on him), and Saudi coach Hassan Al-Sayyid—former Al-Wehda player—who had the greatest impact, after Allah Almighty, in developing me into a strong and solid defender. I was also trained by Brazilian coach Ger Zanohu, Brazilian coach Luis, and finally Tunisian coach Mokhtar Al-Tlili.”
Ishaq’s exceptional talent allowed him to progress through the ranks—from the youth teams, to the U-20 squad, and finally to the first team. During this period, he played alongside major stars such as Captain Hatem Khaimi and international player Samir Abdulshakour. His strong performance made him an influential element in the first team.
However, due to sudden health and family circumstances during coach Al-Tlili’s tenure, Ishaq was forced to leave the club—an obstacle that marked a major turning point in his life.
Founding Al-Majd Al-Masi Football Academy
After leaving Al-Wehda, Ishaq refused to let circumstances halt his ambitions.
In 1430 AH, he took a bold step by establishing Al-Majd Al-Masi Football Academy, dedicated to developing young football talents.
The academy achieved remarkable success, winning multiple championships in Makkah and Jeddah and playing friendly matches against top clubs such as Al-Wehda, Al-Ahli, Al-Ittihad, and Hira—without recording a single loss.
As the official coach of the academy, Ishaq organized more than 12 local tournaments, elevating the level of youth players and contributing significantly to the local football community.
Transforming the Vision into an International Federation
In the same year, Ishaq took his idea to the global level by establishing the International Academies Football Federation (IAFA), aiming to unify global efforts in developing youth football talent.
In 2016, the federation received official recognition from the International Olympic Committee in Switzerland, marking a major milestone in its journey.
Ishaq embarked on a worldwide sports tour to over 55 countries, organizing more than 25 international mini-football tournaments at his own expense, and conducting 45 training courses for academies. He met with international figures, professional players, and sports officials, significantly enhancing the reputation of Saudi academies on the global stage.
Establishing Federation Headquarters
Captain Ishaq established the headquarters of the International Academies Football Federation in Geneva, Switzerland, in addition to launching the International Federation for Marketing and Sports Investment (IFMIS) headquarters in Saudi Arabia.
Despite the challenges and opposition he faced, Ishaq continued to work with determination and resilience. He participated in major global sports conferences, including the “Sports for Peace” conference at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva.
